This is the first year that penultimate students have had the opportunity to network with management consulting executives and get an early bird view of the type of opportunities available.

If you want to work in a creative culture and evolving environment, if you are interested in innovation and if you want to be challenged and make an impact, a career in management consulting could be for you.

A select group of BEL students will attend this event and have exclusive early access to a group of leading management consulting companies that offer graduate placements.

It will help shape your thinking about your future career and provide you with plenty of time to ensure you are fully prepared for the application process next year.

  1. Please fill out this expression of interest form  by 4pm Friday 19 August.
  2. Attend two short workshops:
    If you are successful, you will be required to attend two one-hour preparation workshops run by BEL SET and UQ MBA students. These will include: how to write a value proposition, preparation for networking, building case studies and networking from a management consultancy perspective;
    - 1:30-2.30pm Tuesday 23 August - Constructing a value proposition, Terrace room, UQ, Building 14, level 6
    - 9.00-10.00am Wednesday 31 August - Preparation for networking event, Terrace room, UQ, Building 14, level 6
  3. And provide a resume and cover letter:
    The workshops will help you prepare a brief one-page document about your experience and aspirations and a cover letter, which will be provided to the participating firms ahead of the event.

The Management Consultancy Breakfast will run from 7:30am to 9:30am and be ‘speed date’ style.

Each company will give a brief overview and then you will form small groups and rotate around the room to meet with the executives from each consultancy.

I strongly urge you to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
