Facebook is changing in 2018

Facebook will be showing more posts from friends and family and updates that spark conversation, and will be showing less public content (organic reach) from businesses and pages, including videos.

If you use Facebook in your organisational unit, please take the time to review all of these assets about the changes.  It will impact the way we work/post and promote our content, events etc and we will also need to be providing advice to our stakeholders.

Other accounts and advice

UQ Business School and Executive Education also have Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and LinkedIn accounts.

We can also coordinate social media and digital marketing (or content) strategies, including influencer strategies or advertising on Facebook and LinkedIn. Please complete a Project Brief Form to request this type of support.

The BEL and School marketing and communications staff are experts with social media and can provide recommendations and advice to improve the chances of your content being seen. Each platform uses an algorithm for the news feed and posts are not automatically seen by all followers on a page.

UQ social media

OMC manage a number of social media accounts for the University. Each platform has its own intended purpose and audience and is used to support the University’s marketing and communications objectives. OMC can provide advice to UQ staff on using social media within your area, or how to deal with social media issues.
