With almost two decades of experience in global, Big 4 professional services firms, and across a range of banking, human resources and recruitment roles and organisations, Ken has the industry connections and demonstrated professional experience to help students build their employability knowledge and skills to achieve career success.

Before joining UQ, Ken worked at PwC Brisbane within their corporate tax and human resources teams. He has also worked at Westpac Business Banking.

At Zelda Recruitment, Ken worked to place accountants, analysts, systems accountants and analysts, and executives into suitable roles within large Brisbane companies. And at UQ, Ken has focused on identifying and fostering emerging student talent through the team’s innovative employability and professional development programs and support services.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Laws/Commerce from The University of Queensland.

Areas of responsibility

  • Consulting with commerce (accounting and information systems) and business (information systems) students to discuss career planning, employability advice and recruitment processes.
  • Leading and presenting BEL SET's "How to Get Jobs" and "Peers and Careers" workshops and webinars.
  • Developing resources and employability events for BEL students.
  • Engaging, assisting and consulting with commercial and government employers of commerce students and graduates, including in relation to recruitment, candidate attraction and student engagement strategies.
  • Raising industry awareness among commerce students and connecting them with opportunities.
