With almost a decade of experience in human resources and recruitment across a range of sectors, Jo helps our students expertly understand, prepare for and navigate the recruitment process in the changing world of work.

Jo also has an interest in career development and life coaching practices, and brings a strong insight into how people who are feeling lost about their careers can find their path and gain the confidence they need to take the next step in their career journey.

Jo holds a Bachelor of Arts (Business and Human Resources Management) (Honours) from Oxford Brookes University; a Master of Human Resource Management and a Master of Training and Development (Adult Vocational Education) from Griffith University; and a Graduate Certificate in Career Development from the Australian Centre for Career Development.

Areas of responsibility

  • Developing resources and events relevant to career planning and career development for all BEL students.
  • Consulting with and developing resources for human resource students to discuss industry insights.
  • Managing our Business Industry Placements (RBUS3999/7999) course.
  • Engaging with commercial and government employers of HR students and graduates, including in relation to recruitment, candidate attraction and student engagement strategies.
  • Raising industry awareness among HR students and connecting them with opportunities.
