Linda has a diverse and global background, having spent 15 years within the investment banking industry, working in various graduate recruitment roles based in London, Tokyo, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Linda brings a strong insight into what finance and economics graduate recruiters are looking for in candidate profiles, and an in-depth understanding of assessment criteria and corporate recruitment processes.

Using her extensive professional experience and pragmatic approach, Linda helps students to bridge the gap between academic theory and learnings, and gain practical employability skills.

Immediately prior to joining UQ, Linda spent four years in the hospitality and tourism industry.

Linda holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Japanese and German from Liverpool John Moores University, and an Advanced Master in Tourism, Hospitality and Events Management from The University of Queensland.

Areas of responsibility

  • Consulting with finance and economics students, including BAFE and PPE, to discuss career planning, developing employability knowledge and skills, and assisting students to navigate the recruitment and selection process.
  • Developing resources and events relevant to finance and economics students.
  • Engaging with commercial and government employers and connecting them with students for events, work experience and graduate opportunities.
  • Managing The Edge Leadership series to connect BEL students with inspirational business leaders from across industry.
  • Managing the Behind the Scenes series to provide BEL students with the opportunity to hear from and network with a diverse range of leading graduate employers.
