Jo Nitz

Jo has over 14 years’ experience within educational advancement. In her previous role as the Executive Director of the Geelong Grammar Foundation and Director of Advancement at Geelong Grammar School, Jo considerably strengthened donor relationships, with improved stewardship initiatives.  During her tenure, the School celebrated the history-making Annual Giving programme in 2018, raising the most amount of philanthropic support since the inception of this programme in 1997.  More recently, the School’s inaugural Giving Day resulted in another history-making year, with over $1.3M in gifts, from over 613 donors.  During Jo’s five years at Perth College, she also launched the Foundation and introduced the inaugural Annual Giving, Bequest and Major Gift programmes, whilst significantly increasing alumni engagement.

She has completed a Bachelor of Business majoring in Marketing and Public Relations with Distinction, Master of Marketing and a Certificate in Fundraising. Jo has been honoured with three Educate Plus fundraising awards.  Originally from Queensland, Jo grew up in Mackay and is thrilled to be back in Brisbane with her young family.
