Computer facilities for students

As a BEL student you have access to computers in teaching rooms 202, 203, 205 and 206 in the Chamberlain Building (35).

Note: the Computer Lab in Room 204 is unavailable from 30 October 2023.

General-use computer facilities

To find study spaces with computers or other facilities, browse through study spots on your campus:

Every branch of the UQ Library has general-use computers for all students.

Food and drink is prohibited.
Only staff and students authorised to do so, may enter the Computer Laboratory.
Students must not admit unauthorised persons to the Computer Laboratory.
Student ID Cards must be shown on request of University staff.
Student ID Cards must not be borrowed, lent or shared, and are nontransferable.
Students must read, understand and observe the Acceptable Use of UQ ICT Resources Guidelines.
Students must not use the Internet illicitly.
The facilities are provided exclusively for university purposes. Games of any description, whether played individually or as a group, are not to be played in the Computer Laboratory.
Priority must be given to students working on course-related activities. Users pursuing another University purpose must vacate machines on request.
Students must not misuse equipment in the Computer Laboratory.
