The Australian labour force is likely to move further towards skilled services over the next 15 years as wealthier consumers opt for ‘experiences’ over goods according to a recent research paper by UQ’s Australian Institute for Business and Economics (AIBE) and the ANZ Bank’s chief economist.
The report forecasts the services sector will grow by five percent to more than 77% of the Australian economy by 2030.
