On International Day of People with a Disability, Sunday 3 December, TC Beirne School of Law's Dr Paul Harpur says the workplace discrimination against people suffering physical and mental disabilities is a national crisis, and the way society regulates disability is inefficient and denies people their human rights.
Dr Harpur - who is legally blind - is using his first-hand experience of living with a disability to advocate for others like him, aiming to destigmatise disabilities in the workplace and change perceptions and policy in the process.
