BEL Capstone Course FAQ

Am I eligible?

BEL undergraduate students who are graduating in Semester 2, 2021 or Semester 1, 2022 and have room for a general elective in their program are eligible to apply. If you are not sure if you have room for an elective course, please review your program plan, or speak to an advisor in the Student Experience Team.

How will the course be delivered?

The course will be delivered in-person on campus to foster a collaborative, transformative experience. In the case that government restrictions change and in-person classes are not permitted, the course will go ahead in an online format.

What are the time requirements?

The course is a two-week intensive. This means you are required to attend classes from 9am–4pm Monday to Friday (5–16 July).

There is time allocated daily for team work on the assessment, so minimal work outside of these hours is required.

The course is only two weeks. Does it count as 2 units towards my program plan?

Yes! The course is worth 2 units, which means that’s one less course you will need to complete during your final semester (so you can stress a little less).

Will there be rooms available to use for team work?

Yes, you will have a dedicated co-working space available to you every day where you can collaborate with your team.
