BEL Capstone Course FAQ

Am I eligible?

BEL undergraduate students are eligible to apply if they are in their final year of study and have room for a general elective in their program. If you are not sure if you have room for an elective course, please review your program plan, or speak to an advisor in the Student Administration Team.

 Contact the Student Administration Team

How will the course be delivered?

The course will be delivered both in-person and online for students who are not in Queensland. On-campus attendance is encouraged where possible to foster a collaborative, transformative experience. In the case that government restrictions change and in-person classes are not permitted, the course will move entirely to an online format.

What are the time requirements?

The course is a two-week intensive. This means you are required to attend classes from 9am–4pm Monday to Friday.

There is time allocated daily for teamwork on the assessment, so minimal work outside of these hours is required.

The course is only two weeks. Does it count as 2 units towards my program plan?

Yes! The course is worth 2 units, which means that’s one less course you will need to complete during your final semester (so you can stress a little less).

Will there be rooms available to use for team work?

Yes, you will have a dedicated co-working space available to you every day where you can collaborate with your team.
