Learn how to manage the people who make a company great – especially when they come from different countries and cultures.

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of the complexities involved in managing human resources and talent in the global workplace today and in the future.

During this course you will explore three themes:

  • Theme 1: Talent management in the multinational enterprise
  • Theme 2: Engaging in and supporting global mobility
  • Theme 3: Building awareness of present and emerging global talent management trends

The course places equal value on building both your understanding of the theoretical foundations and the practical implications of working in a global environment.

Senior Lecturer in International Business, UQ Business School

Dr Moeller is an expert in the challenges and value of globally mobile workforces. Her research examines the psychological processes that occur when distinct cultures come together within organisations and project teams.

She is also researching global staffing practices such as expatriation, inpatriation, and flexpatriation, and has an interest in the opportunities that the globally mobile workforce can create for female managers and dual-career couples.

Another research interest involves exploring the role and development of a global mindset, pluralistic management perspectives, organisational ignorance, and stigmatisation within the evolutionary path of organisations.
