Associate Professor in Marketing Ravi Pappu was honoured at The University of Queensland’s 2015 Excellence in Teaching and Learning Awards for his unique teaching methods.
Professor Pappu – a Teaching Excellence finalist for the second consecutive year – uses a hands-on approach to teach problem-solving and critical analysis skills to his research students.
He is well-known for his encouraging and supportive nature and his open-door policy.
Professor Pappu currently teaches courses in quantitative research methods and applied statistics for honours and PhD students, as well as market research for postgraduate students.
His colleagues from the UQ Business School, Dr Nicole Hartley and Dr Lance Newey, along with School of Economics teacher Carl Sherwood, were also recognised at the award ceremony in November.
