Students take next steps to success at Queensland in July

During the mid-year break, The University of Queensland’s Faculty of Business, Economics and Law welcomed scholars from across the globe to the first Queensland in July program.

Queensland in July is a three-week non-award program for international students to develop their global business knowledge, skills and networks, while experiencing the social, cultural and outdoor lifestyle of Brisbane.

Queensland in July’s Global Talent Management course facilitator and UQ Business School Senior Lecturer Dr Miriam Moeller said the program was a unique opportunity for international students to experience all that UQ and Brisbane have to offer, and gain global skills and connections.

“It was great to see our students making the most of both personal and professional development opportunities during their short time with us.

“Our students really impressed me with their enthusiasm to understand and engage with the course content, which explored the complexities involved in managing human resources and talent in the global workplace.

“I hope the connections, memories and knowledge our students gained during their time at UQ will help give them the confidence and skills to kick-start their global business careers.”

In 2019, Queensland in July students can choose to study one of three available courses: global talent management; entrepreneurship and new venture creation; and event marketing.
