Australia Day Honours have been awarded to six alumni and community members from The University of Queensland’s Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL). The annual awards recognise Australians from all walks of life for their exemplary service and contributions to the nation.

BEL Faculty Executive Dean Professor Andrew Griffiths congratulated the recipients and thanked them for doing their part to create positive change. “After the challenging year that was 2020, it’s wonderful to see BEL alumni acknowledged for their efforts to make the world a better place,” Professor Griffiths said.

The recipients have made contributions in diverse fields such as the not-for-profit sector, education, law, the military, financial assistance and the performing arts.

We celebrate their achievements and thank them for their strong sense of community spirit.
