About the speaker

Mr Tim Biggs

Professor of Practice - Management and Mining
Camborne School of Mines and University of Exeter Business School

Tim Biggs is an experienced company advisor in the mining industry, working with major mining houses on the “business end” of mining.  He is also Professor of Practice in Management and Mining at the Camborne School of Mines at the University of Exeter, one of the world’s leading mining schools.  Tim was, until the end of 2020, a partner with Deloitte LLP and the head of the firm’s Mining & Metals practice.  In his spare time, Tim is writing a book on the essential nature of mining.  Tim graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland in 1988.  He is married to Belinda, also a graduate of UQ, and they have four adult children.
