My UQ study experience was nothing short of amazing. I really enjoyed the content covered during the course, as well as the non-academic activities planned!

What are the best things about Queensland in July and about UQ?

The best thing about the QiJ program was the people – the lecturer Miriam, the UQ staff like Erin and Brendon - because they made me feel so welcome. The program was also planned really well! The class size helped us to have personal interactions with the lecturer and classmates, which really helped me to understand the material better and forge deeper bonds with everyone.

The unique thing about the program was how far the university went to make the program a great experience for us, such as the wildlife experience and trip to North Stradbroke Island.

The best thing about UQ was the diversity and inclusiveness I experienced and observed. I admire the university's efforts to include the LGBTQ+ community and I also saw many students of different ethnicities around the campus. This cemented my impression of UQ as an amazing place to study in!

Why did you choose to study at UQ?

I looked at the world ranking of UQ and it was quite well-known. My relatives living in Australia also highly recommended UQ.

How would you describe your UQ study experience?

My UQ study experience was nothing short of amazing. I really enjoyed the content covered during the course, as well as the non-academic activities planned! The QiJ program gave me lots of new perspectives that motivated me in my own life too.

What are your future career aspirations?

I would like to focus on International Human Resources.

I deeply believe that the QiJ program was very worthwhile.

Everything was well-planned and it made for an absolutely amazing experience. The lecturer gave us an in-depth understanding of the course material by including guest speakers and interactive games. Before coming to study in UQ, I was a little uncertain about which area I had interest in, but the course really cemented my choice to focus on International Human Resources in future. We also had a wildlife experience and trip to North Stradbroke Island at the end of the course, which I think tied everything off nicely. It really was one of the best experiences I have ever had, and also made me consider furthering my studies in UQ in future.
